Hi, I’m Katie Marpe — a film development executive, creative producer, screenwriter, and film professor with a PhD in Film & Television from UCLA.

For over a decade, I’ve worked across the independent film industry at companies like Lionsgate, Sundance, and Roadside Attractions, and most recently served as Director of Development for an Academy Award–nominated producer.

I bring a deep understanding of how streaming has reshaped our industry through both my academic research as well as hands-on experience in development, production, and distribution. This expertise allows me to effectively bridge the gap between creative storytelling and commercial success.

Across all those paths, one passion has always guided my work: helping great stories find their strongest form.
